About Us

Robin Schuman, the face behind The Farmhouse Catering Co., gleaned her culinary training as a child, perched on an old wooden stool in her grandmother's kitchen.  It was there that her passion for pleasing people with delicious food was born.  As an adult, her professional life took her down a different path, but her greatest pleasures were found in opportunities to feed and entertain, whether it was a wedding for a friend, a church dinner or a corporate event for her employer.  With every passing event Robin's friends and family encouraged her to turn her passion into a full-time career.  She has an affinity for quiet, country living and her menu choices reflect that love with flavorful fare that is sure to impress.  Robin eventually found the courage to reorder her priorities and The Farmhouse Catering Co. came to life with her vision of merging her passion for entertaining with her belief in supporting local family farms.  Robin's favorite events are those where she can step beyond the kitchen and create memorable experiences for people through beautiful surroundings that occupy all the senses.

Robin has a deep desire to help hungry families in our city.  In 2008 she began a faith-based ministry called THE MANGER to help  struggling families in the Columbus area.  10% of all event proceeds goes directly to help these hurting people right here in our own backyard. 

The Farmhouse Catering Co. wants to gain long term relationships, not just impersonal, one-time contracts.    We seek to truly understand the needs and desires of our clients from the first consultation, to discover their style, tastes and preferences.  Doing so gives our clients a comfort level when they return for their next event, knowing that we understand their needs and expectations, which makes the planning process simple and worry free.  This philosophy makes clients happy, and is the foundation of life-long relationships.  Robin, along with her team of event professionals are committed to serving only the finest foods made with farm fresh ingredients, and providing courteous, responsive service. All dishes are made from scratch, creating a truly memorable experience that will keep you coming back for all of life's reasons to celebrate.
